About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where three friends kept arguing about which games were worth the storage space. At some point the arguments got long enough that we figured we should just write them down. That's the whole origin story — no big publisher behind us, no marketing team.,We cover every genre because that's how people actually play. One night you want a quiet puzzle before bed, the next you're deep in a turn-based strategy on the train. So we jump between headphones-on RPGs and quick five-minute arcades, and we try to judge each game on what it's trying to be.,Games get picked a few ways. Sometimes we chase whatever's climbing the charts, sometimes a reader tips us off, and sometimes we just stumble onto something odd and can't stop playing. We install, we play properly, and only then do we write. If a game bores us after twenty minutes, we say so.,Nobody pays us to like a game. When we don't, you'll read exactly why. That's the only rule we've stuck to since day one.
